Commissions
Here are the most popular services that I offer.
If I haven't listed what you're interested in, please DM me on Twitter or email me to inquire and I will almost certainly be able to accommodate. All of my songs are arranged in such a way that they will loop back on themselves as seamlessly as the software allow when set to loop in OBS or any other streaming software. Higher tiers offer slightly more flexibility in the accuracy of this as well due to the nature of more complex songwriting. Please Note: I take weekends off; communication with me is limited to weekdays only.

☆ My Specialties ☆
Typical streamer BGM, lo-fi/hip-hop/trap, metal, rock, K-pop, J-pop, punk, bossa nova, techno, synthwave, ambient, city pop, funk, new age piano, dub, etc. I can probably emulate your favorite artist. I can handle almost any style of guitar-based music, while my purely electronic-genre capabilities are a bit more niche and focus more on analogue styles.
☆ Can Do ☆
♡ Just about anything. If you want me to do it, I will absolutely try to!♡ Most genres, but be sure to refer to my specialties right above here for the exact kind of stuff I have a solid experience with doing to ensure your commission is of the highest possible quality.♡ Feel free to ask about any style. If I haven't done it before or it isn't in my portfolio, please ask about it anyway because I can and want to try just about anything if given sufficient time and resources to do it.
☆ Can't Do ☆
♡ Basically my only limitation is when I don't have the instruments or sample libraries for a piece. Generally speaking, I don't have access to any real brass instruments, any foreign instruments save for a very select few as sample libraries, or harmonicas oddly enough. If you're unsure, feel free to ask. If you are willing to fund it, I am happy to learn it and play it for you. We can also work out a plan to buy some sample libraries via Splice, etc. for your commission.Generally I can't do the two following, but can try my best if you trust me to:♡ Realistic orchestral/symphonic "Hollywood soundtrack" vibes (I can once again try my best to do this but my skills are quite rusty and my orchestral sample libraries are very very old, so if you'd really like top quality orchestral stuff, feel free to shoot me a message and we can discuss funding some updated sample libraries via PayPal)♡ Extremely technical work (I can try my best but I'm not the greatest instrumentalist in the world and know I have a reasonable limit.)
☆ Process ☆
Step 1: DM me on Twitter or VGen with any ideas you have; there is no commitment until payment.Step 2: Send me a few references for the exact kind of sound you're looking for along with which commission tier you would like. If I feel your vision belongs in a different tier due to complexity, I will suggest this to you before moving forward.Step 3: I may add you on Discord so I can easily send you embedded audio WIPs throughout the process, starting with a rough unmixed demo for your approval.Think of the demo like a rough sketch from an artist; there are no solid lines drawn yet and it has plenty of room for little changes. Please do not expect for the demo to sound like a finished product; it's a proof of concept from less than an hour of work. It's likely to be completely unmixed and unmastered. If you'd like, I'd be happy to send you an example of a previous client's first-draft demo alongside the finished version to illustrate how far along the quality improves throughout the process.Step 4: If you like the direction of the demo, I will take payment via PayPal invoice or via VGen if the commission was submitted there. If you're not yet satisfied with the demo, I will happily do any additional do-overs beginning at $20 each.Step 5: I will begin working on the final product. I'll try to send WIPs as the piece comes along, especially in higher tiers to ensure quality and client satisfaction. During this step there can still be moderate changes made upon request as I tend to record and do rough mixing at the same time.Step 6: After every track has been recorded, I'll move onto the final mixing before bouncing the track for mastering.[For transparency's sake, I export my final mixdown with around -6db of headroom as a .wav file with a bit depth of 32-bits and a sample rate of 44100, though these industry standard format options can be adjusted upon request. The final master uses the same format, limited with a -1db ceiling and aiming between -14 to -7 LUFS as per the modern industry standard.]Step 7: After mixdown, I will begin mastering the song as the final step of the process. At this point, I can not make any more changes. I will also ask you if you would like to name the song to make it uniquely yours; otherwise, the final file will be called "[Your Name Here] BGM 1.wav".Step 8: I will send you the mastered track as an uncompressed .wav file as well as an .mp3 version compressed by myself down to 320kbps for size efficiency and with the same audible quality as the .wav file. I will always briefly explain this decision and differentiation in layman's terms to ensure my standard of high quality.Step 9 (Optional): I may also ask if you could send me a 45-60 second clip of whatever video asset you're using your commissioned song with to include in my portfolio.Feel free to reach out to me if you need anything else after completion. I pride myself on being approachable and having open communication with my clients just as I appreciate having that working relationship with my own chosen resource artists that I choose to work with as a vtuber myself. Don't hesitate to ask any questions no matter how silly you think they are and reach out if you need anything else from me.
About Tomo Aries
She/They/no pronounsAs for Tomo Aries, the real person...Hi, I'm Tomo Aries and you're watching Disney Channel. I'm an all around artist, musician, producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vtuber, gyaru fashion enthusiast (agejo, ishoku hada, romanba, himegyaru), UX designer, writer, gamer, showrunner, video editor, and all-around semi-functional disaster. As a young musician, I was trained classically as well as in jazz theory. I played first chair clarinet and bass clarinet in multiple ensembles and orchestras as a youth prodigy. A little further along I came up playing in and fronting dozens of DIY punk, hardcore, and metal bands. As a solo artist I make art pop that could best be described as somewhere between hip-hop, maximalist downtempo, and indie pop.As far as my current active projects go, my punk-turned-Shibuya-kei band The Boring Twenties are currently reforming after a 7 year hiatus after releasing a demo compilation album in 2021.I also am the only current functional member of the experimental black metal band Ioannes Anglicus, formerly known as Mourning Musume. I'm currently working on our second album which I believe will be the first in its genre which I'm currently referring to as "astral metal".I'm also the artist behind the multimedia project Rainy Season, where I make bossa nova music which is presented with collaborative visual art and accompanied by lore entries written by myself. You can find links to these projects from the "Personal Projects" button on my Carrd's home page.As for Tomo Aries, the vtuber…Tomo Aries is the gyaru vtuber who likes Gundam. With a particularly soft spot for agejo fashion, Tomo pretends she was raised on the moon and came down to earth after Dianna Counter’s successful peace treaty with the citizens of Ameria. In truth, she’s secretly the apathetic matriarch of a yakuza family merely looking for the most fun she can possibly have while ignoring her duties.
She pilots the K0-GY4RV Gundam, a modified design based on elements of the GF13-050NSW Nobel Gundam and System-∀99 Turn A Gundam with her own fashionable twist and painted tattoos to resemble her own. Her favorite mecha design of all time is the AMX-004 Qubeley. Not sure why she didn't just go with that for her partner mecha, but oh well...Tomo herself is arrogant and quick-tempered but also passionate, warm, and kind, and she cares deeply for her friends and admirers. Her sense of humor doesn’t always land and is usually rather dry, meta, purposely annoying, and often too referential to media both popular and obscure. Many would call her an acquired taste. She will refer to you as "bestie" the very first time you meet her and continue to do so forever. She loves to boast and will often tell harmless lies about herself and her achievements to great extents of exaggeration. She often claims to be the best at any particular given subject, especially in the face of actively proving herself to be incompetent at it as a way of saving face and getting her friends to laugh instead of take it seriously.Tomo likes to assert her dominance even in situations where she has none. She tries to cover up for being what some may call a "turbo bottom" by insisting she's a top far too often and stutteringly for anyone to actually believe it.She decided to start livestreaming because she had never seen another gyaru vtuber and wanted to bring attention to and revitalize the fashion style, as well as be the very first gyaru vtuber. She was not. Don’t tell her that she wasn’t the first or else you’ll hurt her feelings.Tomo tries very hard at karaoke and loves to dance even though she doesn’t really know how to, but she's often heard before that she at least looks like she kind of knows what she's doing while dancing.
She has an ultra rare off-color shiny pet Wooper who she calls "Tooper" (he initially did not respond to this name), who she dresses up like herself, with tail paint resembling her tattoos and a matching hair bow and glasses that he usually flicks off after being put on him. She loves showing him off and holding him in her arms, which he seems to also love, however he prefers to sit on top of Tomo's head. It’s very obvious that Tomo wears colored contacts, but it’s a not-so-well-kept secret that these contacts are fake and serve no ocular purpose, and it’s in fact her glasses that are real, as Tomo is almost legally blind [this is true for the real life Tomo as well even though I can’t actually wear contacts].Her tattoos are shoulder caps that reach all the way down from her collarbones to her wrists and features wave, cloud, and cherry blossom motifs, alluding to her true origin as a yakuza matriarch. She also has a few other unseen tattoos to be revealed in the future. Most of the more realistic traits here are true for the real life Tomo Aries as well.VTuber Tomo was conceptualized at the end of 2019 by myself and fully designed at the beginning of 2021 by my dear friend Crystal Chariot, a tattoo artist based out of San Jose at the time of writing. The K0-GY4RV Gundam was designed in collaboration with Hyakuza Tenkai and myselfMy pngtuber model was made by Brazil-based artist BiBiMy Live2D model art and rig were done by the Indonesia-based duo Amilim And ReisthMy chibi Live2D model was done completely by my bestie Yuri Uehara
